Research
Research is at the heart of everything we do. It forms the foundation of our practice and underpins every aspect of our work — from design and delivery to consultancy and advocacy. Our ongoing commitment to rigorous research gives us the knowledge to create resilient, low-carbon buildings that meet our clients needs for the next 100 years.
Since designing our first CLT building in 2003, we have gained global recognition as leaders in sustainable building systems through both our built work and our research. Working with industry partners, policymakers and universities worldwide, we deliver pioneering studies into modern timber systems — exploring their benefits, best applications and the potential of timber to replace traditional, carbon-intensive materials on a global scale.
We continue to expand our research into material innovation, circular construction and health and well-being, driving the transition to a regenerative built environment that puts people and planet first. This work forms the bedrock of our consultancy service, enabling us to help others deliver their environmental and social objectives with clarity and evidence.
