Waugh Thistleton named Frontrunner of the Year 2026
We are delighted to have been named Built by Nature Frontrunner of the Year 2026, announced at this year’s Annual Summit in Barcelona.
Waugh Thistleton have collaborated with Built by Nature for several years, pursuing research into biogenic and mass timber construction and sharing that work openly through publications including the New Model Building and The Commercial Timber Guidebook.
Research and advocacy are an important part of our work as a practice. We invest significant time and energy in developing, testing and sharing approaches that can help reduce the carbon impact of construction, and in demonstrating how low-carbon solutions can be delivered in practice.
We’re incredibly proud to see that work recognised through this award.
