Orsman Road Shortlisted for AJ Awards
We're delighted that 6 Orsman Road has been shortlisted for the AJ Awards 2022.
The design of 6 Orsman Road explores the principles of reduce, reuse and recycle. Built using an innovative hybrid structure which combines cross laminated timber and steel the building is designed so its elements can ultimately be demounted, repurposed or recycled at the end of its useful life. The structure is bolted together and applied elements can all be easily disassembled.
A Life Cycle Analysis was completed on the structure of the building which demonstrated embodied carbon of 238 KgCO2e/m2 (A1-A5 ) a reduction of over 30% when compared to the equivalent concrete structure.
Orsman Road has been shortlisted for the Workplace under £10million category. Winners will be announced on Wednesday 23rd November.
