Pitfield Street Cinema starts on site
Work started on site on our Pitfield Street cinema this week.
The project combines the restoration of a derelict cinema with the provision of new commercial and residential accommodation for Hackney.
The design consists of two distinct elements, a solid concrete ground level to accommodate the three-screen cinema, and an acoustically insulated CLT upper residential element. As well as reinstating an important resource to the Shoreditch community, Pitfield Street is a signature project in our research and practical application of CLT.
