This project in the heart of the King’s Cross redevelopment replaces a disused light industrial shed with a mixed-used scheme that combines new build homes with commercial office space and communal outdoor areas.
Set next to King’s Cross station and St Pancras International, the new neighbourhood offers affordable, shared ownership and private sale homes, ranging from studio apartments to three bedroom houses. Despite the tight and complex site that the high-density scheme occupies, natural light and open space are key elements of the development, while the layout and central landscaped areas foster a sense of inclusion and community.
Combining modern materials with London stock brickwork, and using a high attention to vernacular detail, the development is a sensitive response to Kings Cross’s traditional and classic period elegance.
